The mission of the 3 LSU is to deliver expeditionary logistics capabilities with mobilization-ready forces of pilots and equipment to combatant commanders in support of the alliance strategy. The 303rd provides a wide range of supply and transportation functions critical for peacekeeping, crisis response, humanitarian, and combat service support missions.
The 3rd LSU supports small operations of staff, establishes policy, and provides funding to units, as well as supporting the mobilization, training and outfitting of small groups of active personnel. Challenges faced by the 3rd LSU involve arming and outfitting personnel.
