h Gorillas are large apes that are native to Africa. They are typically divided into two groups. The mountain gorilla lives in the mountainous regions of central Africa, while the lowland gorilla lives in the flat, dense forests of central and western Africa.

Little is known about Harambe's life before he retired to the simple life of a Zoo Gorilla, But what we do know is that Harambe was a brave and honorable gorilla who served his country with pride.

Harambe was one of the Brave men (well Gorilla in this case) who carried out Operation Neptune Spear on May 1-2 2011, A.K.A the mother fucker who KILLED Osama bin Laden.

When aksed "Why do you have a Gorilla as part of your team" by a high ranking military official Seal Team 6 replied simply "Because he asked politelly and well, how would you safely say NO to a fucking Gorilla?"

During his time as a U.S. Navy Seal Harambe was awarded several medals Including 2 Purple Heart's and a Knight's Cross.

Before his time as a U.S. Navy Seal Harambe spent a few year's Hunting Poacher's who were trying to hunt Gorilla's in the Wild Jungle's of Africa disguised as a Gorilla, Wich if you think about it is a pretty easy feat to accomplish when you are an actual fucking Gorilla... But still Impressive nonethless.

Harambe WAS a Western lowland silverback gorilla, which is considered to be critically endangered, according to the World Wildlife Fund. He was one of 10 lowland silverback gorillas at the Cincinnati Zoo

On May 28, 2016 One day after his 17th birthday Harambe, a western lowland gorilla, was shot dead by zoo staff because a child fell into the enclosure where he was imprisoned. Witnesses and video evidence make it a clear that Harambe was trying to protect the boy, and held his hand. For this he was shot to death.

Consequently Josephine the Gorilla (Grandmother of Harambe) started having major health complications (Expert's have concluded it was from the heart crushing sadness she felt for the loss of her grandbaby) Josephine Clasped to life for the next several months slowly degressing into a state of health that was so bad she did not even have the strength to pick up a bananna anymore.

So on Wednesday morning on January 18, 2017 Less then a Year after the tragic Murder of our beloved Harambe, Josephine was put down like a common criminal.

Here at the Harumbe Institute we believe firmly in friendship and peace. And one day hope to Unite all the pilot's of new eden in unity and ever lasting peace between us all.

Currently the Harumbe Institute is focusing on the industrial side of life if new eden and is currently looking for other capsuleer's who are looking for a simular path to follow,

Most of our mining is done in hisec and we focus on ice mostly, but the Harumbe Institute also likes to delve into Lowsec and Wormhole mining when we feel like it.
