With the dissolution of the Hadean Drive Yards, the Commanding Officer of the Logistics Division, Kiroho Calda, and the Executive Officer of the Military Division, Malcolm Gerhardt, created Shadow of the Eagle to build a new corporation in the shadow of the old Yards.

Shadow of the Eagle is a business run on the basis of military protocol, organization and structure.

The rank structure that Shadow of the Eagle follows is:

Fleet Admiral (2) - Malcolm and Kiroho each hold this rank and together are the final arbiters of all things Eagle. These are the co-chairs of the Executive Committee

Admiral (no more than 2) - This is the next step down in the Chain of Command from the top and these are the most trusted advisors to the Fleet Admiral. These are members of the Executive Committee.

Vice Admiral - The holders of this rank are the Commanding Officers of the major corporate divisions. The CO has overall responsibility in the running of their division, the departments that make it up., and the resources assigned to them. These are members of the Executive Committee.

Rear Admiral - The holders of this rank are the Executive Officers of the major corporate divisions. These individuals work closely with their CO in the management of the various departments under them. They are generally reponsible for the day to day running of the departments. These are members of the Executive Committee.

Commodore - This rank is awarded to members who are responsible for both the internal and external running of the corporation. Typically the holders of this rank usually hold significant roles, such as Human Resource Officer or Diplomatic Officer. They also have much experience and have usually been promoted from the ranks after showing a particular eptitiude for their chosen field. They are also work with the Fleet Admirals in the day to day running of the corporation. These are members of the Executive Committee

Captain - This rank is awarded to the individuals who are charged with the command, development and deployment of a department within a major corporate division These individuals report directly to the XO and CO of the Division they are under and are resposible for the smooth running of their Department.

Commander - This rank is awarded upon the basis of loyalty, self sacrifice and contribution to the Corporation..

Lieutenant Commander - This rank is awarded to those who have shown promise and skill in the areas of leadership and command. Anyone who wishs to continue their career into the Senior Command areas must first serve time at this rank.

Lieutenant - This rank is what any ambitious Lt Jgr. hopes to achieve. They are promoted to this rank if they have displayed the necessary leadership and teamwork qualities to operate to their maximum potential and inspire others to work to their fullest.

Lieutenant Junior Grade - This is the rank that Ensigns who have displayed loyalty and productivity to the Corporation will achieve.

Ensign - Midshipman are promoted to Ensign upon being recognized as qualified to accept all tasks within their Department and as having justified their existence to the command staff. Promotion to Lieutenant Jgr. is eminent baring any misconduct.

Midshipmen - Cadets are promoted to Midshipman when they have demonstrated above average ability and have been accepted by their peers and superior officers. This rank prepares new Officers to develop in their chosen departments and gather recognition within their Division. Midshipmen are granted access to more Corporate assets.

Cadets - All new general employees, who pass the initial interviews, enter the Corporation at this rank. Upon demonstrating their loyalty, initiative, creativity and other beneficial traits a cadet is given a Commission within the Corporation as a Midshipman. Cadets have very limited access to corporate assets.
