Kamino, home to the master cloners, the Kaminoans. Being somewhat secluded from the rest of the galaxy, little is known about the origin of the Kaminoans. All that is really known is that the clones they produced were more durable and inteligent than any other clone. Some believe the Kaminoans and the Jovians are one in the same, others believe the Kaminoans are more advanced.

The name Kamino has many variations, but the one that these clones believe to be the true meaning is "of the divine" or "of the gods."
