u'The Famous Meraldian Pirates

The Meraldian era was the Age of Exploration from which emerged the Famous Meraldian Pirates and the Golden Age of Pirates! Many of the Meraldian explorers were also classed as pirates due to their attacking the Amarr treasure fleet and the Amarr colonies. Heroes or Villains? Explorers or Pirates? Meraldian \'pirates\' brought wealth and power to the Gallente! If, on their voyages, the Explorers encountered the opportunity to raid Amarr ships this would not have been greeted with disapproval. The Meraldian Explorers therefore gained the reputation of being pirates. A pirate is a person who robs or plunders at stations, or sometimes the planet, without a commission from a recognised sovereign nation.

The famous meraldian pirates are real pirates - not Privateers. The Gallente government issued \u2018letters of marque\u2019 to the famous meraldian pirates which licensed these explorers to legally plunder enemy ships.

The Amarr were continuously harassed in the Deathzone by pirates and buccaneers who attacked the Amarr ships which were carrying riches back to Amarrian stations

We are going to have fun , bunch of deck mops, drunk\'n rats, bunch of rotating rabble, just get your engine started with rum........
