The Fimbriani were a group of Roman legionaries in the late Republic. They were very outspoken, and extremely difficult to lead, but they won battles (with or without orders from their generals).

We (the royal we!) are the modern incarnation of that proud band - sick and tired of being led by fools, we have moved back to civilization to recuperate while we decide where next to take our skills.
