The Daughters are an old organization that focused on planetary level industry, and relief events to help those left widowed or orphaned by the various wars.
Thus most of the members are planet-bound housewives, widows, and idealists. Only recently have they been able to afford hiring on Pod pilots, and thanks to that, move into space. They provide the same services now as before, only they offer industrial and protective goods for ships, such as shields and fuel.
