If you can guess my favorite color - you can join and get some protection from griefers war dec'ing you. a war against a corp costs under 2 mil a week - PEANUTZ!!! A war against a corp in an alliance is multiplied by the number of corps - How about 100 mil to war dec you? That cuts out most griefers right there. Why pay a bunch to grief you when there are so many cheap targets to grief?

It costs 2 mil a month and that goes to CCP. The alliance makes nothing from memberships and has no ability to interfere in your corp's activities - your corp can be just you.

Train corp management skill (18,000 isk) for about 10 minutes, then start a corp for just under 1,6 mil and join the alliance. With a corp, you can rent offices and simplify moving items/ships between alts.
