The Coreli Code of Conduct:
This code of conduct is intended for new recruits, but is valuable in describing the aims and goals of Coreli.
Welcome to the Coreli Corporation's application process. I'm sure that you'll fit in well here, and we'd be happy to have you on our rapidly-growing staff. With your help and effort, I'm sure that in no time flat we'll be the number one neural booster producer in the galaxy.
The Coreli Corporation is run largely on a freelance basis. We have set corporation activities and operations, but by and large you are responsible for your own upkeep. The Coreli Corporation will not pay a regular salary, only payments for services rendered. That being said, we require far less from you as an employee than most corporations in EVE.
When you're raising money for your own personal wallet, keep in mind at all times that you're representing the Coreli Corporation. Even if you're not in a corporation-related activity, you still bear our name, and as such, your actions are Coreli's actions. I'm sure you'll do fine, but there's a few regulations you need to follow.
When you're "creatively liberating" a pilot from his ship and he offers a ransom, you of course may choose to accept or decline it. If you do choose to accept it, honor it. If an enemy cannot trust you to honor something as small as a ransom, it casts doubt upon the reputation and honor of both yourself and the Coreli Corporation at large. Ransom violations will be punished appropriately.
That's not to say that killing pods is entirely bad. It's not. Coreli Corporation does not prohibit the killing of pods, only those for which the pilot has paid a ransom. We understand that killing pods serves a strategic purpose, namely the draining of enemy corporate and alliance resources.
Additionally, the Coreli Corporation does not prohibit the theft of ore from mining operations. We do, however, prohibit ore theft in systems with a 0.5 or greater security status. Ore thievery is seen in a negative light by most of the EVE community, and is counter-productive to the image of Coreli, except in special circumstances. Low-security ore theft is a viable tactic, but be sure that you're not stealing from one of our many allied corporations. They probably won't take kindly to that, and you'll be required to reimburse the allied corporation and face censure if you do violate this rule.
Theft on a larger scale, by infiltrating a corporation via an alt or second account is prohibited. Actions like these damage the reputation of Coreli severely, and it's not worth the time, effort and prestige lost to simply gain a few units of ammunition or a few ISK.
If you're invited into a 1v1 duel, be sure to follow the agreed-upon rules with your dueling partner. You'll eventually be tempted to violate a rule in order to get a kill. Don't. Your reputation and that of Coreli is worth more than a single kill. Make sure that you have clearly defined rules so your opponent can't get an advantage. If he does violate the rules, we want to make sure that Coreli has the high moral ground. We'll make sure that corporations think twice before negotiating with violators.
The Coreli Corporation has many allies in space. From time to time, allies switch to enemies. If you find yourself attacked by a member of a corporation for which Coreli has a non-agression pact, you are free to fight back or flee. Immediately contact a director.
