Established in YC 23 and officially disbanded in YC 112--the 705th division was one of the many "raid squadrons," formed unofficially under the Republic Fleet.

The Rifters of 705th had seen plenty of action throughout the many years of engagements against Amarrian forces, while operating covertly around the border of Amarr and Ammatar space.

It has been confirmed, that during the time of the division\u2019s activity, a total of 53,093 Matari have been released from orbital slave encampments and transports, raided by the group. Over 37 thousands of those, made it safely into Minmatar space.

Unfortunately, the raid squadron suffered a severe blow to its numbers in YC 110 in the Eredan system, after the Amarr have reinforced their positions around Ammatar systems, due to the Elder Fleet\u2019s invasion. Losing most of their pilots, the 705th was later relocated to Heimatar and utilized as a defense unit until its disbanding in YC 112.

Many members of the 705th rose in rank, after showing promise within the unit, thus getting even as far as being promoted to a colonel. Following the brigade\u2019s disbanding, some of its men remained in the Republic forces, while others joined the Maru Rebels or have chosen to commit the rest of their strength to supporting the Minmatar through industrial means.'
