High-Sec Citadel Trade Hub Coalitions and You.

Citadels are coming to Eve April 27th and they are going to change New Eden forever. In High-Sec, Citadel trade hubs are going to be so profitable that the large Null-Sec power blocks will be migrating to High-Sec to run them. There is just no way they can pass on an opportunity to collect the brokering fees of High-Sec trade hubs, which in Jita alone will be equivalent to (or greater than) all ratting bounties in New Eden.

There is no single High-Sec Alliance with the might to keep Citadel trade hubs from becoming the new Null-Sec cash cow. But together, High-Sec residences can pull together and potentially take control of their trade. The Null-Sec powers may scoff at the idea of High-Sec residences working together, but we have the same incentives to invest in High-Sec that they do. After April 27th, I predict that High-Sec will be the new battle ground and every one will have a significant role to play.

A change in philosophy is needed. If everyone continues to believe the misconception that there is only one trade hub to buy/sell in, then we are all doomed to trade in the Null-Sec’s new Jita. We need to change how we trade. If we abandon Jita, Amarr, Rens and Dodixie and focus on local regional trade we can keep Null-Sec out of High-Sec trade. A side effect of this philosophy will be the end of freighter ganking. With the shipping lanes empty, the hunters will have to work harder to find prey.

So how do you get involved? Inside OurEVE.com you will find twenty three Groups. One for each region that contains High-Sec systems. Join your region’s group and start talking. Invite people in your region to join the conversation. Start making beneficial allies. Set up an EVE mailing list to keep in touch and announce wardecks. Start making rules for your region’s Citadel Coalition.

You are quickly running out of time. Now is the time to gather and plan. Do not be caught unprepared. Be ready to act come April 27th.
