The origin of The Consortium is a mystery. Some rumors would point to its initial foundation by a Jovian who was not content to simply observe the conflict and turmoil spreading from the opposing stances of the major empires. Other rumors would say it was the brainchild of a high ranking Gallente Intelligence officer who saught to bring order to the chaos. Regardless of its actual origin, one thing is true, the Consortium works in the shadows to bring light where there was darkness.

They are not opposed to using force or deception if the end result brings about what they consider a victory for civility and logic.
