The coffee at AIR Laboratories was different. Some people didn't care for it, leaving their mugs sitting forgotten and untouched. Other people could not get enough, going well out of their way to get more.

The tea was the same. There were rumors that the peanut butter crackers were pretty good too.

Gift baskets were given to graduates, with mixed reception. Some baskets didn't survive the ride to the next station, rapidly devoured by people who would be wishing they still had some to devour tomorrow. Some baskets were left behind. In fact, the departure hangars were perpetually littered with discarded baskets.

Some graduates would return, hoping to find more. Wiser now, they would gather what they could and take it with them, and maybe even save that one little cookie for when they really needed it.

A rare few would try to share with their friends, but encounter strange behaviour out of their AIR foods. Food doesn't usually behave, but this food definitely misbehaved. It was difficult to share. Even a little resistance was enough for most of them to think "oh well, more for me" and put it out of their mind.
