The founder of our ancestry was a Knight. He was called by the King to defend his country against a barbarian incursion. At the onset of the battle, the Knight took the entirety of his calvary and charged straight for the enemy general. The cost of the attack was high and the Knight himself suffered two arrow wounds to his chest. But this daring act proved successful and the barbarian army disbanded with their general dead. The King was so moved by the Knight's courage that the King himself treated the Knight's arrow wounds. This had to be done by pushing the arrows through the Knight's body completely and then cutting off the arrow heads. The King then granted the Knight a crest : two arrow heads on a field of red to symbolize his sacrfice, a peacock for his courage.
