Overview

Corbulo Academy of Navel Science (CAANS), is a navel officer training academy for the Amarr Navy in the Kuomi Solar System of the Bleak L:ands Region. Corbulo Academy focuses mainly on technical studies and is considered a great school for aspiring capsuleers. The school collaborates with many leading Amarr corporations, which benefits the school, the companies and not the least the students.

History

The academy was named after the Roman general Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo of late Earth history. Additionally, students honor Corbulo by exclaiming "Axios" meaning "I am worthy" in Greek. These were Corbulo's last words as he intentionally fell upon his own sword by order of Emperor Nero, who had ordered Corbulo to kill himself to prove his loyalty to the Roman Empire.
