There was little that the other prisoners and I could know empirically aside from our names the only thing in this world we owned other than the brand marks on our chests. My name is Melchizedek Mordachaius doomed to live out my life in this prison deep within the ground. The only essence of the living world I would ever know would be the stale air that is ventilated down from the surface, or so I thought.
The foundations of the prison floor shook as I was thrown through the air by the shockwave that followed the liberating explosion. A calm shadow entered the cell that was filling with the echoes of screams and energy weapon discharges. It seemed as if time slumbered for a moment as the shadow\u2019s strong hand grasped me pulling me to my feet. \u201cCome with me.\u201d The stern voice spoke; penetrating the noise that saturated my abode. I scrambled through the corridors like a rat, the others with me following the path lead by the strange shadow. Once we had passed through the maze of twisted metal and blood I could see the light.
I thought I might glance at the face of the shadow as soon as I reached the light and escaped the monument of suffering and dark that had been my life for so long. As I breached the threshold I was blinded by truth, reality, my newness of life. I could look upon the face of our rescuer, but with the rush of pure air that tickled my throat and lung I managed to speak. \u201cWho are you?\u201d I coughed out in a choking tone.
\u201cI am Xelicar.\u201d Little did I know that the name would become the bane of the Amarrian Empire that enslaved my people! The one who would be the hands gripping the spear of retribution driving the wrath of Minmatar into the heart of the enemy.
It has been years since my people forged a pact with Xelicar and his Gallentean brethren. Our purpose is ever upon our heart and the divine wrath of the Maker is ever against the enemies of our freedom.
