The Golden Knights come from an ancient Amarrian family that got too close to the Gallente in between conflicts, migrating with many Ni-Kunni families from Aridia some time ago, and found themselves torn between their honor and duty to their homeland, and what their new brothers in arms agains their shared enemy, The Syndicate. The first time that these Amarrians flew the vessels of their homeland alongside Solitude's Gallente Navy vessels to fight The Syndicate, their allies took note, and nicknamed them 'Golden Knights' as a way to honor their heritage and their bravery in battle.
