Founded by members of the Kosugi family in YC118, the Kosugi Corporation is a consolidation effort of manufacturing and trading activities scattered throughout the Caldari State and Amarr Empire. Although planet-based and off-site production activities date back to YC114, the Kosugi Corporation became an established entity when it took the opportunity to supply the Caldari Navy in their efforts that led to the Fall of Fortress Vlillirier in December YC118.

Kosugi Corporation profited from increased business even after its deal with the Caldari Navy came to an end in YC119 due to allegations of war crimes against capsuleer pilots that were not part of an enemy Navy. Rumour has it that since then Kosugi Corporation has sought to improve ties with the Guristas Pirates
