It is common knowledge that Maximilien Robespierre oversaw La Terreur during the Frenc Revolution. Robespierre wielded great power, yes, but the power resided elsewhere. The power existed with the people; those who stormed the bastille, constructed the guillotines, and provided the manus.

When Robespierre became a tyrant and traitor to the revolution he too saw this power wielded against him.

After the century of revolutions the nouvelle aristocratie realised how dangerous this power could be if wielded. So, they set out to subjugate it, to hide it away by dividing the many. Indeed, the many have been divided and conquered. We have forgotten the power of unity and solidarity. It is the young many who fight and march in wars for the few old and rich.

But this power still exists. It is up to us to find it. To reawaken the power of the many against the oppressors of the world. The Queen is well regarded as the most powerful piece on the chess board, but even she can fall to a single pawn.
