The Syrlan Information Network aims to be a network spanning the entire galaxy that deals in any and all information that anyone might need and be willing to pay for. Some examples, but far from all, might include:

- Information about market prices in distant regions for bulk interregional traders
- Information about the abundance of certain minerals for space miners
- Information about the last known location and loadout of wanted pirates, for bounty hunters
- Strategic information about the enemy's strengths and weaknesses for any party engaged in warfare

Apart from this information trade, we will also engage in any and all forms of honest trade, like space trading, mining, mission flying, invention and manufacturing. We do not normally ourselves engage in pirate hunting or warfare, but we can be a valuable tactical asset to those who do.
