In preparation for Tyrannis, I’ve already prepared a planet distribution page, so you can find your favorite planet type easier in your neighborhood. At this moment, it’s unsure how the planetary interaction addition is changing the Eve Universe, but I’m sure there will be some addition to DOTLAN EveMaps as well. If you’ve any ideas let me know.
Examples:
Would it be possible to either group the region view by constellation, or provide a listing for a constellation (f’ex: https://evemaps.dotlan.net/constellation/38G6-L/planets )? Or both? =)
I just added the constellationName to the regional planet listing. That should work for you. atm I don’t have any constellaton related pages.
I imagine that you are pullin data from the API, and therefore have no control over the accuracy of the data received.
However, on two separate occasions, there have been ships and pods destroyed in our WH system, but this data never appears.
Is this a common occurance
Yes I’m pulling the raw numbers from CCP’s API aka mapKills/mapJumps. How CCP is dealing with them and what kind of action is counted as kill or podkill is not available for me.
About killmails that I’m showing: Those are provided by the public EVSCO Killboard. It’s possible that kills aren’t posted all the time or just appear a couple days later after everybody synced their killboards.
btw. self destruct counts as podkill aswell, I suppose.
Ive had this happen a few times, namely with ship kills and the graph never picks them up, but i wrote a tiny php script to just find my wh system’s data and it did show up, i queried only 5min after the time at the bottom of the page said it made it’s query…. so somethings up!
Planetary distribution is very nice. Also the planet type and icon in the system celestial objects summary. Thank you for this feature.
EVEMaps is again ahead of time, even with Tyrannis!
Awesome, thanks alot for this added info. Now can you add 7 day stats for system jumps, npc kills, etc. Jovelabs.com has this but that site sucks.
